ACCC Networking Area : Contacts and Affinity Groups
|
[Français] [Affinity Groups] [Contact Lists]
Aboriginal/First Nations/Metis Programs |
ACCC Affinity Groups are a groups of individual members of the college community who share a similar position (deans, students, etc.), a similar sectoral focus (admin., faculty and students of nursing or of the environmental technologies) or some other common interest (promotion of aboriginal studies and programs for example) who come together to share ideas, best & worst practices, advocacy concerns and who occasionally organize joint activities (such as workshops and meetings at the ACCC Annual Conference) to explore and promote their common interests. In the past some affinity groups have grown out of meetings at the ACCC Annual Conference and later established themselves as more formal entities (the National Council of Deans of Technology for example), while others are now developing through ACCC-supported networks as part of the current efforts to improve pan-Canadian labour market information and more coordinated actions in the various sectors where colleges operate (e.g. software, environment, nursing, automobile). On the left margin, are the Affinity groups and official Contacts Lists which ACCC currently maintains. You are encouraged to join the Affinity Groups of your interest and thus keep up to date on what is happening across the country, and around the world at times, in your sector. To Subscribe or Unsubscribe to Affinity Groups or Contact Lists, you must have a ACCC Member Account and Login by entering your email address in the 'Member Login' text box above.
