| A one-day CCPP workshop entitled Institutional Diagnostic
(Baseline Data Gathering) was delivered in Vancouver, Toronto, Moncton and Montréal,
reaching over 100 college personnel from across Canada. The workshop was specifically
designed to assist colleges in preparing for Request For Proposal submission launched on
November 30, 1999, as per the Proposal Development, Assessment of Eligibility, Evaluation
and Approval Process (see CCPP Figures 1 and 2). Look for the
PROPOSAL WRITING and BUDGET PREPARATION Workshop series in the new year. Tentatively
scheduled for February, 2000, these workshops will also include a mock Project Review
Committee process whereby participants will be asked to act as evaluators of mock
proposals.
The Request for Proposals (RFP) launched on November 30, 1999 included new
Gender Equality Guidelines. The Guidelines offer concrete tools with which to address
gender issues within all stages of the project cycle. Specific emphasis is placed on
project identification and design. In addition, the Student Participation and Community
Awareness Guidelines will be revised to incorporate recent trends and priorities at the
Canadian International Development Agency and within the Association.
Please note that the list of eligible countries to the CCPP has been extended to
include all Official Development Assistance (ODA) countries. To obtain the complete list,
