Subsidized Education Plans

How can colleges, institutes of technology, polytechnics, cégeps and university colleges get information for their students concerning Canadian Forces job opportunities and available funding programs?

There are in excess of 100 occupations in the Canadian Forces (CF). For every soldier in the field, pilot in the air or sailor at sea, there are seven other military members in trades supporting that operator in the field.

For a list of CF occupations, students can visit http://www.forces.ca/#en81-81 and click on "Explore Careers By List."

If you would like a CF representative to meet with your students and/or present the variety of opportunities available in the CF, please contact the CF by e-mailing your request to jobs@forces.ca or contact your local recruitment centre at 1-800-856-8488.

Can students have their education subsidized if they join the Canadian Forces?

Yes. A variety of subsidized education programs are available to members of the CF assuming they meet the necessary criteria.

For a list of criteria, visit http://www.forces.ca/#en231-44.

If a student would like to speak with a CF counselor to get more information on careers in the Canadian Forces, where can he/she get help?

A student who wishes to explore career opportunities with the CF can contact a CF representative by e-mail at jobs@forces.ca or by calling 1-800-856-8488.
