Attracting Canadian Forces Personnel to your College

Colleges can improve their chances of receiving Canadian Forces (CF) personnel as students if they can demonstrate that:

• The college programmes and courses align with CF requirements. To do so, they must input the necessary information in the Canadian Forces College Opportunities Directory (CFCOD).

• The college has the ability to train personnel in a timely manner (i.e., offers compressed programmes).

• The college can provide multiple start options which create a training production rhythm for the CF.

• The college can facilitate portability and transferability of its programme credits, enabling CF personnel to start learning in one institution and transfer to another if necessary.

• The college recognizes prior learning of CF members while completing applicable military training.
