New since 2010-2011: An Award of Excellence for Internationalization was added to the program.

Award Categories: Each Award of Excellence category has three levels:  Bronze, Silver and Gold.  The Gold Award is reserved for outstanding nominees that exceed the criteria in each category.

Awards Selection Committee:
 Reviewers participate on a voluntary basis on selection committees.  Every nomination is reviewed independently from one another.  A nomination will not be reviewed by someone from the same institution as the nominee.

Awards Program Timeline:
The awards program takes place over a calendar year, beginning in September:

September:  Nomination forms are available online for the coming year’s program.  Selection Committees are formed.
October to February:  Nominations are due by Monday, January 30, 2012.
Early February:  Nomination packages are sent electronically to each member of the six (6) Selection Committees for review and evaluation.
Early/mid-March:  Results are compiled and sent to each Selection Committee for final approval.
Late March:  Recipients for that year are announced to all winning and non-winning institutions.
April to May:  Winning institutions prepare video segment of their winner (Gold Award only).
Late May/Early June:  Award recipients are recognized at the 2012 World Congress.
June to September:  Recipients are featured on the ACCC website.
September to November:  Local recognition events take place.
